Selected bulletin blurbs from The Village Church

The following are a collection of bulletin blurbs I wrote from June 2010 to December 2010 for The Village Church. In an attempt to maintain a consistent voice and style, we followed style guide issued by The Associated Press, "The Little Style Guide to Great Christian Writing and Publishing" and a consistent time-date-place order when applicable.

Women's Conference 2010: Steadfast Love
On Oct. 29 and 30. At this year’s women’s conference, Lauren Chandler will lead us as we focus on God’s steadfast love and our response to Him. Cost for the event is $25 per person with an optional pre-conference dinner for an additional $15 per person.

Groups: GroupConnect

From 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 17, Highland Village Worship Center. Looking for a Home Group? GroupConnect is an event designed to help you find biblical community at The Village. Online registration is now open—limited Kid Keepers (child care) is available.

Christmas Eve Service

Join us for our annual Christmas Eve service as we celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. This year Flower Mound will hold four services at 1 p.m., 3 p.m., 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 24, in the Worship Center. Child care will not be available in any of these services, though children are welcome to attend with their parents.

Foster and Adoption: Information Meeting

Interested in foster care or adoption? Join us from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 9 at the Highland Village Martin Building for an informational meeting where we will discuss opportunities to invest in a child’s life.

Recovery: Steps at The Village

Saturday, Aug. 7 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Flower Mound Worship Center. Steps at The Village is an intensive, 16-week discipleship program that meets on Saturday mornings for two hours for teaching and small group discussion. Registration opens July 9.

Missions: Perspectives

Perspectives is a semester-long class designed to give participants a global perspective on the Kingdom and instruction on how to engage the world with the gospel. The course runs from january to May and is offered at six location throughout the metroplex. Check the Perspectives website for dates and pricing information.
